School Employees THE 1945 HILTOP Have you seen our secretary? Sheis the livest of our crew. How can she be so merry When she has so much to do? Her time is filled completely, She never thinks of rest, And yet she smiles so sweetly And has no end of zest. I-Iere's a person we all owe A debt of gratitude. She keeps the cafeteria clean, And dishes out the food. A I0 . Who keeps our school so nice and neat? Who makes it look so clean? Who sweeps the floors and does the chores ask all the freshmen green. Who mows the lawn, rakes leaves in fall? Again I ask, 'tWho does it all? Why, it's the jolly trio that works the live long day just to make things pleasanter for us to work and play Who is the fellow standing there? With streaks of silver in his hair. Working, working all the while, Never too busy to crack a smile. I-Ieill help you if you need him wh His name is Mr. Paton, Better known as Sam. He has two other helpers To do this work you see. For all the work that must be done Is quite enough for three. Mr. Gilmore, too, a Scotchman, Talks a Scotish sort of way. You can ask the kids around you And they,ll tell you he,s okay. And if you want to meet a fellow That really fills his shoes, I know just that fellow, His name is Mr. Hughes.

Jim Phipps Secretary-Treasurer e.i.. , '74-e Seniau At last we've finally reached a goal That we set out to find. Four long years of fun and struggle To accomplish this on time. We started out as Freshmen, Open-mouthed and goggle-eyed. We stood in awe of the Seniors 'Cause they were fsupposed to heb dignified. Our Sophomore year was not so timid, For We had found our place. Cur class abounded in the greatest talent, And, thus, We set our pace. f22l The next thing we knew we were And We were proud to know Juniors That now we were nupperclassmen' The group we admired not long ago NOW we are the leaders, The Seniors, as We're called, Our class is sure to be the best.
