11 .memnriam Miss ROBBIE PHILLIPS B.A., University of Georgia At only fortyfsix, Miss Robbie Phillips passed away. She suffered with a cerebral stroke while spending the past summer at her home in Calhoun, Georgia. In her last fourteen inspiring years Miss Phillips had lived as an outstanding algebra teacher at Hillsboro. She suffered from arthritis. The spirited op' timism with which Miss Phillips fought this ever present source of pain and affliction demonstrated her vigorous faith. Hopeful planning of the future was symbolic. In addition to her ability as a teacher of algebra, Miss Phillips contributed much more to Hillsboro. Many clubs were founded and became well estabf lished under her guidance. Her homerooms showed their well known loyalty, as they always ranked high in all school drives. For five consecutive years Miss Phillips sponsored The Hillsbwrro. She also attended many ball games and other school functions until her arthritis became acute five years ago. We students will never forget Miss Phillips as a sincere friend and brilliant humorist. just as we now recall her witty remarks, she not only remembered, but amazingly kept up with each of her past students. Students and faculty alike realize the great asset Hills' boro has lost. 27
