IN FORENISIC UEFT For the second consecutive year Htllsboro has won first place rn the Iorenstc Play Contest held annually at Peabody College Htllsboro s entry this year was the drama I Shall be Wattmg starring Nlrrtam Preston as the fratl artsto crattc mother who ts temporartly blmd Nltrnam was chosen on the All Star cast for her performance Other members of the cast were Sylvta Stahlman Warner McNe1lly Bobby Sneed and Btlly Coble The play was dnrected by Mrs ll httten and Mrs Daume Several members of the Iorenstc Club have won blue rtbbons m the vartous meets Among them are Xlartha Trtbble 'Nancy Cnno Htlda lrank and Mmam Preston FATHER S CLUB SEEKING NEW FACILITIES The Fathers Club lead by Mr George R Bwms Prestdent Mr L Fuqua Secretary and Nlr Warner NIcNe1lly Treasurer ts seeklng tm provements nn athletlc and other school factltttes They are trylng to secure an audttortum a new basket ball court and an enlarged and xmproved football field The Club has also voted to sponsor four boys to Boys State thts year tnstead of two MRS TOWNER SERVES AS P T A PRESIDENT 'Nlrs Walter Towner was elected prestdent of Htllsboros P T A at the May l94-1 meetmg Selected to serve wlth her were Mrs J 'Nlarston Crump Xtce Prestdent Mrs D G laulkner Treasurer Mrs Harvey C.
