Chorus, Band . . . V Musicians Provide Entertainment The Mid-High choruses, under the direction of Mr Gearhart, worked on many activities throughout the year. One of the most outstanding, was a rock cantata, called The Creation, which was presented at the Spring Concert. The eighty member Mid-High Band, under the direction of Mr. Deck, was very active. Activities included playing for numerous pep assemblies, foot- ball and basketball games, as well as many concerts. One of the highlights of the Year was the combined Spartan-Mid-High pregame show presented at the Stanford-Oregon State game in late October before 20, OOO spectators. Other major events of the year included the Thanksgiving, Christmas, Junior High, Cotillion and Spring Concerts. Many of the band members were involved in the All State Band and District Solo Contest held at Lewis and Clark College. The members were also engaged in many money-raising projects for the On to Vienna campaign. Mr. Deck and Band add pep to Pep Assemblies.
