', , , K f rir - Have you ever thought how time changes many things? Remember how worried you were as a freshman? Would the other stu- dents like you, would your teachers be friend- ly, and how could you ever hope to meet so many people? lf you were a freshman last year you know that you have made many new friends and also when you look in the mirror you see that your physical character- istics have changed, you have probably grown a little since last fall. lf you are a senior think back to how many friends you have acquired in your four years of high school and how your appearance has changed. The same is true of Hillsboro Union High School. Because we have grown, a shift has been made from the TYV League to a league composed of schools with larger enrollments, the Metro League. We shall retain our old friends and add to them new ones from the Metro League. We shall do this because we know that friends and friendships make life more worthwhile. Mrs. Young teaches Ameri- can history and civics, and Mr. Wienecke teaches driver's training. They are a guide to the students at Hilhi, advising and help- ing them with physical, emotional or per- sonal problems. Each morning they are in their offices checking attendance or arrang- ing the pamphlets provided in the counselors room for students to read informing and di- recting them on teen-age activites or voca- tional interests. Besides these important jobs they also work with the Boys' and Girls' leagues bring- ing Hilhi's student body closer together. QTX ADMINISTRATION 5
