DANCE Time in a Bottle was the theme of the 1974 Junior Prom. We con- structed an hourglass for the centerpiece of the gym with the magic ingredients of fishing line, chip board , carpet rolls, staples, nails, wood, and angel hair. The walls provided a bridge into the past down to the depths of the Gay '90's. The next representation was a horseless carriage from the Roaring '2O's. The 60's and 70's were represented by a 40 foot collage . The ceiling was decorated in twisted streamers varying from white into three shades of blue. The streamers were hung in a spider web effect. The 1972 Junior Prom King and Queen, Steve Havilik and Jill Hof- meister, crowned Steve Shaker and Linda Winchell the 1974 Junior Prom King and Queen. The other court attendants were Bill Reidle and Teri Sweeney, Mike Benish and Teresa Revels, Rodney Fanta and Janis Erlandson, and Mike Kocyan and Annette Dolezal. The miniature King and Queen were Jimmy Haas and Angie Winchell. The band Raven serenaded the couples and spectators with music ranging from the Beer Barrel Polka to soft rock. On the eve of Prom, it was discovered that the originally proposed band, Eros, was scheduled to play elsewhere . Upon hearing this, the band committee chairman, with her feathers all flustered , flew to the office. The contractor was phoned immediately. After several heart-throbbing phone calls, we were relieved to know that the Raven was available.
