We con- structed an hourglass for the centerpiece of the gym with the magic ingredients of fishing line, chip board , carpet rolls, staples, nails, wood, and angel hair. The walls provided a bridge into the past down to the depths of the Gay '90's. The next representation was a horseless carriage from the Roaring '2O's. The 60's and 70's were represented by a 40 foot collage . The ceiling was decorated in twisted streamers varying from white into three shades of blue. The streamers were hung in a spider web effect. The 1972 Junior Prom King and Queen, Steve Havilik and Jill Hof- meister, crowned Steve Shaker and Linda Winchell the 1974 Junior Prom King and Queen. The other court attendants were Bill Reidle and Teri Sweeney, Mike Benish and Teresa Revels, Rodney Fanta and Janis Erlandson, and Mike Kocyan and Annette Dolezal. The miniature King and Queen were Jimmy Haas and Angie Winchell. The band Raven serenaded the couples and spectators with music ranging from the Beer Barrel Polka to soft rock. On the eve of Prom, it was discovered that the originally proposed band, Eros, was scheduled to play elsewhere . Upon hearing this, the band committee chairman, with her feathers all flustered , flew to the office. The contractor was phoned immediately. After several heart-throbbing phone calls, we were relieved to know that the Raven was available. Practices revolved around individual work and dedication, meets were run against a variety of schools and the efficiency of meet managers at most contests made the outlook for girls' track seem limitless for potential growth and success. The Varsity team was composed of juniors and seniors. Girls' Volleyball at HHS is sure to continue to be a success if the enthusiasm continues at such a high rate . This was evident in the team's play and in the fan- tastic support the fans gave to the team throughout the season and the regional tournament. Coach Joyce Fry directed the girls to the realm of champions. The girls' volleyball team did suffer one defeat to La Farge in the regional tournament to end the hopes of going on to the state tournament. Boldon, T. Hofmeister, I. Nagtical P SENIOR CLASS PLAYS SENIOR CLASS PLAY Molly had a little play, Its cast was good as gold. One act plays made up the night. The tickets really sold . The seven dorks met Snowy White , A kiss from Prince Humperfink Made all right. Miss Audobon Blew the Christmas play. Miss Brooks stepped in To save the day. Jerry and Jo Went to the show, What really happened Dad'll never know . Nanette and her mother came from Pari , Stoney's fiancee fit into the scheme , When Stoney awoke, All it was was a dream! FRENCH TOAST: Stoney Jones, the hero, is getting married. He thinks he's the luckiest guy alive. He has a good job, a wonderful girl named Nancy, a gracious mother-in-law, and fifty dollars to spend on a one day honey- moon. On the eve of his wedding, Nanette arrives - fresh from Paree. With her comes the sad evidence that Stoney and Nanette are married . Stoney is bewildered. He doesn't even know the girl. All ends in laughable explana- tions and a happy ending. THE HAIR OF THE AARDWOLF: The play is a satire on the girl-boy rela- tionship in dating through a reversal of boy- girl and mother-father roles. The Aardwolf is a hyena-like mammal of Southern and Eastern Africa that mainly feeds on termites, ants, and insects. Normally shy and retir- ing, the Aardwolf grows vivious and aggressive in the face of any threat to its young . SNOWY WHITE AND THE SEVEN DORKS: Something from way out - Snowy brought into the hippie world - jargon and all. This playlet shows poor Snowy thrown out into the cool, cool world. When she comes upon a house in the woods , she enters, and finds it to be the humble pad of the Seven Dorks - that motorcycle gang once world-famous and now all retired. All moves along until that mean stepmother in the disguise of the Avon Lady finds Snowy and permits her to use some poisonous hair spray. Snowy is out like a light until the handsome prince, Prince Humperfink comes along and jolts her out of her coma . OUR MISS BROOKS AND THE CHRISTMAS CAROL: For the first time Miss Brooks has time to draw a breath as Christmas approaches. Then Miss Audabon comes weeping in. Her cast for The Christmas Carol is in rebellion and the problem of the Christmas play is dumped in the lap of the exhausted Miss Brooks. There's a wild comedy rehearsal complicated by the principal's awful discovery that someone has hung a spray of mistletoe . NATIONAL HO OR SOCIETY BACK ROW: T. Novacheck, L. Kurbarski, S.
