MESSAGE L4 , R ,.. , k.,., we.. - j.f,- Mrs. Shear, Secretary I wish each individual member of the Class of 1971 the very best of luck in the future. Your formal education in Hillsboro High School will come to a close on May 27, 1971, and you will then be faced with the task of educating yourself in the world. The play concerns a city family who de- cides to purchase an abandoned country house, which is believed to be where George Washing- ton once slept. The plot involves the restora- tion of the house - only to discover that they must move out because they are unable to make the payments on the house, and they also dis- cover that Benedict Arnold, not George Wash- ington, actually slept there. :YT ii lr - '.,,. .. ,Z NWN 'W y ' A M ISS MOELLEND ORF D1reCtOI M VARSITY CHEERLEADERS ,... ,.,. The Girls Athletic Association consists of Hillsboro High School girls who like sports and competition and are willing to give up a little of their free time to have a lot of fun. Girls participate in basketball and volleyball intramural games played during the noon hour two or three days a week. Every Monday and Thursday nights teams of girls go bowling at the bowling alley after school. At the end of the year, then, the champion teams in basketball, volleyball, and bowling receive trophies. This year the G, A, A, sponsored a Sports Day on Saturday, January 31, 1971. Girls from three area schools were invited to engage in a basketball tournament here. Our G, A, A, girls received the second- place trophy. This event was a lot of fun for all of the girls who took part and helped generate good- feeling between the various schools, +.
