The 1969 Junior Prom, Halfway to Para- dise, was held on the evening of May 3. The gym was transformed into our own little bit of the South Seas. Tables set before island scenes provided a retreat for couples after they had danced to the music of the Tom Lee Orchestra, A gathering place for many was the Bare Foot Bar where punch was served. A flower garden provided a place for the couples to have their pictures taken, A green gazeebo provided a cozy retreat for couples, The court backdrop depicted a couple under the moonlight in paradise. When the class of 70 transformed the gym into their own little paradise it was the most organized construction job ever performed, Months of planning preceded the ordering of numerous supplies, Crepe paper was used up by the ton, murals were put up, 6 ff ' X furniture was borrowed and pop bottles were intricately 0 'ny 'M 'W 9 J ly decorated. Finally, the dream of paradise became YQ! 1 reality. Randy 's really high about Prom. Big A1 eyes the camera , . , as Tom follows Nancy's orders.
