The decor added color to the affair. Tables set before cafe scenes fur- nished a retreat for small talk and punch which was served at a flower garden. A wall scene near the en- trance and the silhouetted . court backdrop on the stage depicted the beautiful city of Venice. A pink-and- white carousel provided seats for pictures. Last year's royalty, Ro- ger Stanek and Joan Liska, crowned King Dennis Sta- nek and Queen Theresa Diny who reigned over an all-junior court. CLASS HISTORY In September of 1965, we formally began our high school career as alert Fresh- man. To guide us through our first year, we elected Bill Liska, President5 Doug Marshall, Vice President5 Mary Hansbery, Secretary5 Janet Baltz, Treasurer: and Tom Dosch and Sherry Bloor as Student Council Representatives. Mrs. Hunter and Mr. White became our class advisors. Surviving our initiation, we then looked forward to Homecoming, with Doug Marshall and Karen Smith as our representatives. Bill Liska and Mary Hansbery represented the class at the Junior Prom. Returning in 1966, we immediately began the year right by choosing Doug Mar- shall as President: Nancy Braithwaite as Vice President5 Mary Hansbery for the Secre- tary5 and Karen Smith as Treasurer, with Tom Dosch and Bill Liska as our Student Council Representatives. Advising our class were Mrs. Hunter and Mrs. Grooms. Doug Marshall and Sue Kolowrat represented the class at Homecoming, and Doug Marshall and Karen Smith were our Prom representatives. ln September of 1967, we chose as our Junior Class officers Dennis Stanek, Presi- dent5 Alan Rott, Vice President5 Sue Kolowrat, Secretary: Janet Clausius, Treasurerg and Tom Dosch and Doug Marshall as Student Council Representatives. Mrs. Hunter and Mr. Gunderson were our advisors for the year. In October we received our class rings and truly became upperclassmen. Our Homecoming representatives were Tom Dosch and Carol Holak. On May 4, we held the Junior Prom. Entitled Carnival of Venice , the center of attraction was the lovely pastel carousel, as couples danced to the music of the Tom Lee Orchestra. Setting a precedent, we selected an all- Junior court consisting of: King Dennis Stanek and Queen Theresa Diny5 Peter Harris and Jeanne Henderson: Dale Taylor and Karen Smith5 and Leland Benish and Nancy Braithwaite . We returned for the last time in the fall of 1968 as Seniors, a long-hoped-for position. As our leaders, we chose Alan Rott, President5 Peter Harris, Vice President: Cindy Bladl, Secretary: and Theresa Diny, Treasurer. Our Student Council Represent- atives were Pat Sweeney and Joe Lisker, and Mrs. Hunter and Mr. Gunderson were again our advisors. Tom Dosch and Bill Liska became the co-editors for the yearbook. Gary Cepek and Theresa Dolezal reigned over the Homecoming, whose theme was, The Autumn Wind. Karen Smith, representing Hillsboro, had the distinction of be- coming the Snowflake Ski Queen at Westby, and Sue Kolowrat was the DAR recipient. After four years, we graduate on May 29, 1969, and go our separate ways, leaving behind many fond memories. SENIQRS . . .
