History Class In the fall of 1960, we were officially en- rolled as the Freshman Class of Hillsboro High School. To lead us through this frantic year, we chose David Braithwaite as president, Janis Hansbery as vice-president, Nancy Wolf as sec- retary, and Elinor Fronk as treasurer. The class advisors were Mr. Moran and Mr. Sherman. Our student council representatives were Ruth Tatter and Roger Stanek. Homecoming court honors were shared by David Sebranek and Sally Dechant. David Braithwaite and Ruth Tatter represented our class for the momentous Junior Prom. The following school year we returned to the doors of H.H,S. as mighty sophomores. Our chosen leaders were as follows: president, Dave Braithwaite, vice-president, Janis Hans- bery, secretary, Nancee Smith, and treasurer, Nancy Wolf, Student council representatives were Terry l-lagenah and Scott Marshall. Mr. Moran and Mr. Whalen were our advisors. The new Freshmen were made official members of the student body by our Initiation Day. Our representatives at the Homecoming festivities were JONI WOPAT NIO.. Janis I-lansbery and Charles Fronk. Sue Bliss and David Braithwaite were sophomore royalty on the Junior Prom court. The thrilling junior year had finaily arrived. We proudly wore our shiny new class rings. Mr. Jagodensky and Mr. Finley served as class advisors during this all important year. Class officers were: president, Roger Stanekg vice-president, Russell Dainesg secretary, Elinor Fronk, and treasurer, Carl Matteson. Student Council representatives were Sue Bliss and Dave Braithwaite, To represent our class for Homecoming, we chose Nancy Wolf and Don Durkee. The regal pair, King Roger Stanek and Queen Sally Dechant, made our Junior Prom most memorable. It took place on May 10, 1963. Moon River was the theme, featuring a Y-shaped bridge at the entrance, under which a stream flowed. The scent of apple blossoms flowed through the gym, giving the prom a true touch of nature. The Vagabonds furnished the music. For the Sweetheart Dance we chose Marion Beaty and Sheryal Markee as our representatives. In the September of 1963, we entered H.l-l.S. as dignified seniors. We chose our class officers: president, Russell Daines, vice-president David Sebrenek, secretary, Conrad Revelsg and treasurer, Sue Bliss. Mr. Gammon and Mr. Finley assisted as advisors. Student council representatives were Kathy Kaus and Nancee Smith. Our able classmate, Dave Braithwaite, served as president of the student council. We were proud, indeed, of our Homecoming King and Queen, Charles Stanek and Nancee Smith. Russell Daines and his date shared honors as senior representatives for the Junior Prom The entire class worked diligently in preparation for our senior class play in the spring of 1964. Looking back on this, our class history, we bid a tearful goodby to H.H.S. at our Baccalaureate and Graduation.
