This is done in the largest yearbook ever produced at Hilliards High . In this book appears, for the first time at Hilliards, eight colored pages. Another new feature is the record--which contains various voices and activities around school that should be very pleasing' to the ear of any Hilliards High alumnus . In order to improve the appearance and quality of the Memory's Trail, more full page pictures are included. Because of the purchase of a camera by the annual staff this year, many snapshots of various activities have been added. Another improvement is the elimination of the supplement. In previous years the most important events- -those at the close of the year--have not been included in the annual- but put into a separate supplement instead. We, of the '55 senior class, feel deeply indebted to the church--to those who have developed our religious background. Through theirguidance we have formed high moral, democratic and spiritual standards. With a future in this troubled world ahead of us we feel confident with the faith installed in us by the church. When we were troubled we were always welcome in the house of Godg when we were happy we enioyed the fellowship ever present there . To those who have given us peace ofmind to face the challenge of tomorrowg to those who have developed in us high Christian goalsp to those who have given us courage to face our problemsp to those who have taught us how to live togetherin this world, we dedicate this 1955 edition of the Memory's Trail. We, the annual staff, have tried to make a better yearbook for you. We have added eight colored pages for your enioyment. This year we were fortunate to have one period each day set aside for working on the annual and school paper. The annual staff hopes you getas much enioyment out ofthe annual as we did putting it together. We, of the staff, are also rather proud of the fact that our annual will be a huge success financially. We worked, planned, and fought as a family, and our associations will last a lifetime. E l SEATED: Bessie Eckard, Jim Hetrick. STANDING: Dave Boerner, Rose Coleman. There were eleven upper classmen and 28 freshmen which made up the team. As Mr. Shaw put it, referring to hisfreshman squad, he had 47 boys out for football and ended up with 28 men . The reserves had a fair season winning two, losing two, andtyingone. They were defeated by London and Worthington . They defeated Westerville, Marysville, and tied Grove City. The way the games were played, for example, the upper classmen would play two quarters then the freshmen would play two. That way everyone got some experience and with this experience many reserves will be moved up to the varsity. 'ns S MF- Reall, MICZACHES . haw, MI.
