Dense green thickets, G L Fall, cool pine trees Glen Helen w E N In a blazing sky. Friendship and laughter Ringing out among the hills. Waterfalls stream down rocks and valleys, Their icy blue waters flowing. Majestic sights as far as one can see Of free, beautiful country. Playing football with the staff while trying to dodge, Mork, the crow. Exhaustedly retiring after a full day While Nana Zurlage tucked us in. Waking up to a shrill alarm To the fresh new morning air. Special activities at four 'oclock, Nature sketching and square dancing, Blind hikes and new games. Lying in a damp field, And gazing at the stars. Night hikes and animal tracking, Waiting for muskrats in the dark. Living and learning in the wild, About birds and all of God's creatures. These are my memories of a free liberty, And of my wonderful stay at Glen Helen HH
