Around the latter part of fall, students are usually overloaded with book reports, term papers, and last- minute tests before Christmas holidays, but they some- how find time to participate wholeheartedly in club meetings. This is the time of year when everyone enjoys especially the dances sponsored by organizations within our school. Eagerly awaiting spring, our students often find themselves engrossed in one activity after another, basketball games, intramurals, junior Follies, and the always successful Valentine Talent Show. Following close behind are the plans for the eventful Junior and Senior Proms which remain among our most treasured memo- ries as we near the end of another school year. ...- 3 is 6

The senior, leader of campus life, is in a con- tinual whirlwind of activities and studies. As school draws to a close, he realizes that his time spent at Hillcrest High School has ended. The last class-the last pep rally--the final farewell to friends--the last nostalgic chorus of our Alma Mater--all become cherished memories. This is not an ending for it is only the beginning, a com- mencement for all who are departing from or ar- riving at Hillcrest. The students who come and launch their ven- tures on the Hillcrest campus in the early fall are confronted with many school activities. Everyone seems to reveal a true spirit as can be seen in faces cheering at football games and pep meetings. En- thusiasm continues to grow as preparations for the Shindy and powderpuff game begin.
