MUSIC In the Hillcrest Music Department opportunities are provided for all stu- dents to become appreciative listen- ers and successful participants in a variety of musical activities. At the same time an effort is made in the program to discover and train stu- dents having exceptional aptitudes and abilities. Band officers receive a check for their hard work collecting Green Stamps. Miss Bolt gives much time and energy in order that the choms might provide the finest music possible. PHYSICAL EDUCATION Miss Patricia Whitten GIRLS PHYSICAL EDUCATION Coach Mickle and Coach Brooks spend many hours after school coaching boys in athletic activities. Girls learn fundamentals of basketball in gymclasses. 34 Our physical education department has a varied athletic program for both boys and girls. Students learn the im- portance of exercise to a healthy body as well as how to participate in many games. Sportsmanship and fair play are emphasized in all activities.
