The Hillcrest Senior Band presented entertainment during half-time festivities at Hillcrest home football games. The band also boosted the spirit of Hillcrest stu- dents at the pep meetings. The band represented Hillcrest at many outside func- tions including the Greenville, Greer, and Simpsonville Christmas parades and the Greer Peach Festival. During Band Night festivities following the Hillcrest- VValhalla football game, Carolyn YVebb and jim Ramsay, were crowned Band Queen and King, respectively. t X X ,il T a BOBBY HAMBY Student Band Director

ss , JIMMY LANCASTER President - A 9 A W Science Club Boosts 108 Members The Science Club, one of the largest school clubs, is composed of students who are taking courses in biology, chemistry, or physics. The Science Club was organized for the purposes of promoting the science department, maintaining a cooperative spirit among science students, and preparing students for scientific careers. The bulletin board located in B XVing is kept posted with current science news as a special Science Club project. Representatives from the St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, the Atomic Energy Commission, and the Greenville Technical Education Center at various times during the year spoke to Science Club members.
