Hillcrest- 7 Ccirolino - 7 The Rams jumped off to an early lead over Carolina in their annual rivalry, but the Trojans tied the score before half-time. Eddie Rice scored for the Rams and Butch Collins split the up-rights for the extra point. The Rams defense made several goal line stands. Larry Snipes and Chuck Kear- ney played well for the Rams also. Hillcrest- 7 Palmetto - l9 The Mustangs racked up two quick touchdowns in the opening minutes, then held on as the Rams outplayed them the rest of the game. In the final quarter the Mustangs could not penetrate within the Rams 40-yard line. But the only score the Rams could tally was a pass from Sammy Sloan to Howard Hewitt. The final score was 7-19. Hillcrest- O Wolhollo - O The Rams played host to the Wal- halla Razorbacks on a very soggy, cold, and windy field. Two long runs by Cary Long broke it open in the second half, as the Rams absorbed their fifth loss, 20-0.
