Hillcrest Highlights Changes Formot VIRGINIA EDXVARDS News Editor The format of the Hillcrest Highlightsf the school newspaper, was changed entirely beginning with the Sep- tember issue of the paper. The paper is published six times a year by the journalism class. Highlights s t a ff members worked hard selling candy during November and December. Proceeds from the candy sales were used toward expenses of publishing the paper. On October 15, Highlights staff members played host to the annual meeting of the District IV South Carolina Scholastic Press Association. Student journalists and advisors from twenty-one schools in Greenville, Spartanburg, Union, and Laurens counties attended this meeting. Early in the year, the newspaper staff joined the Quill and Scroll, the International Honorary Society for High School journalists. In order for a student to become a member of this club, he must meet the standard quali- fications set up by Quill and Scroll.
