Hillcrest Buses Trovel Over 1,000 Miles A Doy This is a typical 2:40 p.m. scene when students rush to the buses. 1.5 l ul 3 ,J Twenty-six Hillcrest buses travel approximately 1,000 miles in transporting 1845 Hillcrest and elementary school students each day, These buses drink a tremen- dous amount of gas a year-82,760 gallons. Each day sixty-three Hillcrest bus drivers leave their homes about 7:10 A.M. and' arrive back at their homes about 4:00 P.M., having traveled an average distance of 34 miles. Several buses travel as many as 50 miles each day. Under the supervision of Mr. Bill Moody, the Bus Drivers Club was formed to promote the principles of safe driving. Each bus driver is eligible for membership in the club.
