The Rams outplayed the Trojans both on defense and offense as only a dropped pass spelled defeat for the Rams. In the pic- ture, the Rams Edwin Long kicks off to Caro- lina. HILLCREST 7 PALMETTO 7 The Hillcrest Rams playing in the shadow of their first win, strived to make it two in a row. But a penalty late in the game gave the Mustangs another chance and that was all they needed to tie the game. In the photo, Billy Long is brought down after a short gain. HILLCREST 31 COWPENS 7 The Rams romped to a 31-7 victory over a game Cowpens team as Harry Sprouse scored three touchdowns. Edwin Long and Billy Long also gained long yardage in the victory.
