The club entered judging teams in livestock and dairy in dis- trict and state competition. Officers from Hillcrest were Rick Hampton, president, and Gary Yates, treasurer. Holding a Christmas party at Sun- shine Acres for patients, making lap trays for shut-ins, visiting the handi- capped, and entertaining at a moth- er's tea were a few of the service projects carried out by the 29 mem- bers of the Future Homemakers of America. One of the purposes of F.H.A. is to work for good home and family life for all and to encourage democracy in home and community. Linda Jones, Sheree Appleby, Kathy Malone, and Kathy Snook make lap trays and utility boxes to be given to hospitals and rest homes.

Campout, ymnasties aid in skills, talents Physical Education Career Club, consisting of approximately 50 girls, led an active and enjoyable year. Among the activities in which the club participated were bowling, vol- leyball, basketball, and tennis. GYMNASTICS CLUB . . . Front Row: Barba Wimberley, Patty Harrington, Joy Houston, Cyndi Sweet, Vickie Delp, Debbie Barnett, Cindy Beatty, and Cheryl McKinney. Second Row: Mrs. Dorothy Frederickson, sponsor, Anita Jarvis, Krissy Smith, Kim McGee, Tere- sa Baker, Marsha Hartman, Celine Schmid, Karen Morris, and Cheryle White. Third Row: Denise Stockstill, Debbie Hollar, Connie Walk- er, Phyllis Smith, Terri Hall, Helen Slaughter, A big event near the end of the year was the annual campout. It gave the girls a taste of life outdoors, and helped to develop skills in outdoor cooking and hiking. The club hosted two basketball Sports Days in December. Some of the duties were keeping score and running the concession stand. Officers were Krissy Smith, presi- dent, Cheryl McGhee, vice-president, Roberta Routh, secretary, Denise Pippin, treasurer, and Miss Marilyn Moore, sponsor. Gymnastics Club members partici- pated in individual competition and in inter-squad meets where vaulting, balance beam, and free floor were in- cluded. Officers were Denise Pippin, presi- dent, Connie Walker, vice-president, Cheryl McGhee, secretary, and Mrs. Dorothy Frederickson, sponsor.
