Social Studies New Outlook Gained ln I Llse of Films, Records Man's walk on the moon provided a dramatic close for the '6O's, but it also ushered in the beginning of a whole new out- look in the study of the social sciences. Utilizing strips, films, records, and research materials, students gained an increasing understanding and appreciation of their , country as they understood the changes in the way of living caus- ed by modern technology. 'v American problems combined government and economics as emphasis was placed upon the responsibilities of citizenship. Stu- dents received a practical working knowledge of modern econ- , 4 K6 omics. An intensive study of world geography provided a study of geographical facts and relationships with American heritage.
