Larry Shead, Curtis Senagal. fback rowj Gordon Hodge, manager, Doug Sewell, Marion Dean. Tyrone Emerson. Zachary Franklin. Malcolm johnson, Steve Gibbs, lerrell Sheffield, Keith Gardner, Coach Carter Williams. The 1976-77 season began on November 11 against Navarro College. This year's squad was made up of seven sophomores and ten freshmen, including returning members Malcolm Iohnson, Larry Shead, and Willie Iackson. November also saw the players hosting the Hill Classic. Under the leadership of coach Carter Wil- liams the Rebels boasted a season record of 25 wins against 7 losses. In conference play the team showed a record of 10 wins and 4 losses including an exciting contest against rivals M.C.C. which Hill won 91-90. The Rebels made it to the Regional playoffs in Abilene again this year. After winning their opening game against Howard County, 108-91, the Rebels lost the second game against Western Texas in overtime 93-86.
