STREETCAR AMED DESIRE From Wilde to the Wild Side-nothing could have been more different from delicate drawing- room comedy than the spring play, in which Blanche Dubois took a streetcar named Desire, changed to one named Cemetary, and got off at Elysian Fields. So did we, as witnesses to Ten- nessee Williams's famous play. The troubled family drama deals with the question of reality, as delicate, perverse Blanche and her brutal brother-in-law clash in an attempt to maintain very different ideas about life and living. The H.I.C. production was enriched by an imaginative set that captured the feeling of New Orleans's old section, by dixieland music pro- vided by the jazz band, and by a large and vigor- ous cast. Those involved in Streetcar were Mike Ze- bell, Cindy Whittle, Melinda Terrell, and Keith Ashcraft in lead roles, E.C. Rosson, Carrie Wash- ington, Billy Sellers, Dallas Collins, Betty Dorn, and Becky Scott.
