College and Community Drama Club award winners for 1976-77 include Cindy Whittle. Amy Moore. Sherry Ball. Hank Ball. and Keith Ashcraft. ' The Drama Club, under the direction of lack Smith, represents the aspiring actors and actresses on the H.I.C. campus. The club not only puts on several plays throughout the year, but also en- tertains with special dramatic programs and readings at high school assemblies and club meetings. The club also performs at Bond's Alley Arts and Crafts Show each year in june. This year the club presented two plays to the college and community: The Importance of Being Earnest and A Streetcar Named Desire. Both plays were a great success. A production of the Ugly Duck- ling was put on for the college and was presented at both the Rotary Club and Newcomers Club. A change of pace took place with a stage reading entitled Love and Marriage. The final pro- duction of the year was again at Bond's Alley and was entitled Tight Britchesf' Cast members for The Ugly Duckling are Dallas Collins. Melinda Terrell. Brent Hopkins. This year's spring initiation gave mem- bers an evening of entertainment by the Ensemble and B.S.U. puppet team. The annual spaghetti sup- per offered good food to everyone and the money from the supper enabled students to attend the na- tional PTK convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Members also enjoyed an end of the year picnic at Meridian State Park. The sponsor of Phi Theta Kappa is David McCord.
