Charlene Wyant, Rhonda Henson, Karen Wilson, Carolyn Weigelt, and Ronnie Bishop proudly display the trophy won during O.E.A. competition. The Office Education Associa- tion, or O.E.A., celebrated its sec- ond anniversary as a Hill Iunior College organization in 1977 with a year packed with activities, projects, and social gatherings. In addition to regular meetings and just-fun socials, O.E.A. mem- bers devoted their spare time to fund-raising raffles and bake sales and to developing and prac- ticing office skills. All the plan- ning stood them in good sted at the national convention held in Houston, where they gathered district, state, and national awards. 33

H.I.C.'s student newspaper The Rebel Yell serves a dual purpose, providing Iournalism 'stu- dents with a lab in which to practice and thope- fullyl perfect their skills as it keeps the student body up to date on campus events and local happenings of special interest. This year's staff featured Arthur Mann as Editor-in-chief, Rick Baca and Winston Abbott as sports writers, Pat Reeder and Darrell McCallum as features, Greg Maddox, Willie Iohn- son, and Richard Enders on campus news, and Ara- bella Rittenhouse, Betty Dorn, and Wendell Morris as special correspondents. Gary Williams, Winston Abbott, and Agustin Gonzalez provided photographs.
