L5 ,iw 1 V If ,A V Confederate Rifles and Southern Belles are fleft to rightj Marca Schulz, Randy Schulz, Royce Dale Guest, Angela Maass, Patrick McDonough, Scott Hill, Bruna Gonzales, Mary Rowland. Confederate Rifles contribute a bit of the Old South to the H.I.C. campus. Members are able to serve the school in a number of ways and perfect their shooting ability at the same time. This year the club acted as Honor Guards and Hostesses for the Alumni Association meeting and the showing of World War II films. They also participated in the Battle of the Brazos in Waco on April 23 and 24. This year's Audie L. Murphy Marksmanship Award went to E.C. Rossen. 25

Hill County Day at the Fair Hill County Queen and her court: ffrom left to rightl Teresa Floyd, Whitney: Becky Scott. Hillsboro: Queen Donna Sewall By num: Denise Sulak, Aquillag Stephanie Wilson, Itasca. Hill County Day at the State Fair gave everyone at the H.I.C. campus a break from classes. Hill Iunior College always plays an active part in the activities scheduled during the day at the Fair. Band members provided free concerts several times throughout the day while choir and ensemble members entertained the many Fair visitors. Queen Donna Sewall and her court were presented at a style show during the after- noon. Always a high point of the day, the twighlight parade gave the queen and her court a chance to ride beautiful, lighted floats while the area high school bands marched and played. 26 W ON STAGE
