Awards Assembly S The last assembly of the year at H.I.C. is held an- nually to honor those students who deserve special recognition for academic achievements. These hon- ors range from the Academic Excellence Award, for students with the highest grade point averages each year at Hill, to the awards in specialized subject -. areas. This year the Academic Excellence awards 4-A went to David Bower, Scott Hill, Pat Reeder, Marca Schulz, Pat Smith, Alber Srubar, Ieanette Turner, . , and Phillis Wiseman-all of whom had a perfect 4.0 average. Those students who had been selected to Who's Who in American Iunior Colleges were in- troduced to the audience as well as those students selected for Who's Who in Vocational-Technical Studies. Included in the program were musical se- lections sung by the H.I.C. Choir and Ensemble. Ioe Welsh closed the assembly with the presentation of 1 the gavel, symbolic of the Student Congress Presi- dent, to Stephanie Wilson, next year's president. 4 7 2 C -li f U l Alden Smith presentsl an outstanding achievement award in government. .-. , V as .'
