They journeyed to Graham and in the initial opener were defeated 27-6 by the Steers. In the opening home fracas the Romine-tutored eleven downed their ancient rivals, the Cleburne Yellow lack- ets, by a 2-O score. Galiga, end- ed the 1942 gridiron season for the duration of the War with two victories against seven defeats.
