' ,H , ,rift ,, CHHISl'VIAS PAHTY if 5. Following a time honored custom, the students and faculty of Hillsboro enioyed their annual Christmas again this year. An impressive and pageant was presented by the Little Theater. Santa Claus was there fruit and ccmdy for all good children, gifts were exchanged and, truly, a On the night of February l8, all Hillsboro College's prospective Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines were honored by an all-college party. At the command of the bugler and under the leadership of the Officer of the Day, these boys and the other guests were given a foretaste of induction centers and commando raids. The evening was ended by the presentation of the colors and the singing of our national anthem, and On Hillsboro.

Bob Helms, Ir. - Parliamentarian College awww The College Forum, sponsored by Mrs. Boone, has endeavored to keep the membership of the club informed on the current events. lt was organized for the benefit of those who are interested in World af- fairs and desire to become more enlightened about them. Thus the roll call for each meeting must be answered with a name in the news and some ex- planatory fact about them. The programs have been in the form of discussions and quizzes about national affairs. The Forum sponsored a Time Magazine Test for College Freshmen. The purpose of the con- test Was to find out how attentively the average student is keeping up with the day's history-making news. The contest was won by Cecil Iohnson, Freshman. Although TIME did not offer a prize to Sophomores, President Hartsfield, feeling that they, too, would benefit by participation, presented a book to the sophomore, Lila Bess Smith, making the highest score.
