My L ' ' Y .4 In and Around ihe School Among Scouting, the Youth Center and playground activities, a child's life is kept busy. Through the Youth Center a child can learn many new hobbies. In one afternoon he may learn to cross country ski, downhill ski, leath- erwork, play pool or foosball, or swim at the YMCA . Scouting can lead them into a world of different happenings. Even on the playground a child can keep his identity by playing soccer, football, baseball or just swinging. ' 1 cFz.' Lefty Monty Schiefer takes a break from the hectic play- ground activities. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin on his face. If he worried he hid 1t. He started to sing as he tackled the thing that couldn't be done, and he did it. Somebody scoffed: 'fOh, you'll never do that: At least no one has ever done it : But he took off his coat and he took off his hat, and the first thing we knew he'd begun it. With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin, without any doubting or quiddit, He started to sing as he tackled the thing that couldn't be done , and he did it. There are thousands to tell you it can't be done, there are thousands to prophesy failureg There are thousands to point out to you one by one, the dangers that wait to assail you.
