They began The year by puTTing on The musical Grease and followed by Their acT wiTh The ChrisTmas concerT. ThroughouT This Time, people were audiTioning for All-STaTe Choir and for The High Plains Fesfi- val in Chadron, Nebraska. The biggesT challenge, howev- er, came in The lasT semesTer when sTudenTs prepared for small-group conTesT and The 2nd annual pops concerT, all wiThin an 8-week period. To add To The pressure, by This Time The Swing Choir was in full 'lswing . ln The end, iT was a memorable year. The band had a challenge, compefing wiTh The memory of The greaT band of The year be- fore. Students of HCHS enjoyed put- ting on the musical Grease for the public on October 211 and 25th. The performance was a huge success with a large turnout both nights. The cast began practicing at the begining of the school year. However rnuch credit the cast received, the show couldn't have gone on without the help of the backstage crew. lvlr. Hayes' shop class, and Mrs. Gillespie's art class. Marion Johnson rounded up props, and lvlr. Early directed the pit band. Roger Ueffj explains to Jan QStacyj the advantages of being a 'nioonerf' ls this anything new for Mitch? J ,.. 'l f-:I-1:1 Kenickie and the rest of the T-Birds brag about the wonderful 'Greased Lightening. The Pink Ladies suffer through another school lunch at Rydell l-ligh. Rizzo shows the girls the Proper way to drink wine.
