The cross country team at Hill City High School was off to an early start this year with their first meet on September fifth. The team joined with the Custer cross country team in a coop arrange- ment and as such saw the season through to the last meet on Oc- tober 3'1st. ThroughouT This Time, people were audiTioning for All-STaTe Choir and for The High Plains Fesfi- val in Chadron, Nebraska. The biggesT challenge, howev- er, came in The lasT semesTer when sTudenTs prepared for small-group conTesT and The 2nd annual pops concerT, all wiThin an 8-week period.
