The cross country team at Hill City High School was off to an early start this year with their first meet on September fifth. The team joined with the Custer cross country team in a coop arrange- ment and as such saw the season through to the last meet on Oc- tober 3'1st. Consisting mostly of underclassmen, the team should be even stronger next year, es- pecially with returning under- classman Shelly Nelin who ran in the state meet after placing 45th GT the feQiOl'1Cl FTTGGT.
