Homecoming Promotes School Spirit Homecoming was a week filled with excitement and fun. lt gave students a chance to become involved in promoting school spirit and support of the home team. Homecoming week began on Monday, October 7 with Nerd Da y. Tuesday's events consisted of Backward's Day and the annual student senate slave auction. Wednesday was filled with many royal festivities including Dress Up Day, the chili supper, Coronation, the bonfire, and the snake dance. The Homecoming Court was reigned over by King, Jeff Anderson and Queen, Carol Clemetson. Thursday was Theme Day. This year's theme was Jungle Love . The activities included a hall decorating contest, a girl's basketball game, and an all town pep rally. Friday served as Fun Day and Green and Gold Day. There was also a Homecoming parade. Friday evening the Homecoming football game was held. After a grappling battle, Hill City lost to Upton. The final score was 20-O.
