Fabian in America HCHS had the honor this ear of hosting an exchan e student from South Y 9 America. Fabian Carrasco was born October 1, 1955 in Cuenca, Ecuador. He is the oldest of two sisters and three brothers. His Dad is an engineer. Fabian arrived at Hill City in mid September. His American family includes Dad, --HJack Redden, lVlom, --Harriet, and sisters, --Jill, Alison and Becky. , Soccer, track, swimming and karate are Fabian's favorite sports. He is a member K of the HCHS track team, running the 220 and 440 yard dashes and amazes HCHS gf students by breaking one-inch boards with his bare hand. His favorite hobby is stamp collecting and his collection varies from Ecuadorian to European stam ps. X Of this school Fabian says, It is a lot different than schools in Ecuador but the same in many ways. This school is good. I think I have had a very good ex- perience in this school. Reverend Reed closed the ceremony with the benediction before the class departed. lt's over, Harold IVlaudlin awards D. Herting a - diploma.
