High School Chorus at Christmas Concert. Junior High Chorus at Spring Concert. BQ 2 4. The Hill City High School music department presented two con- certs in the new gym this year. The Christmas concert brought a wide variety of songs, from old favorites to new tunes. The Spring concert, one of the best seen, allowed soloists to show off their talent. Shaun McVey, on cornet, showed an outstanding performance playing Rosebuds. Bob lsaman played My Regards on the baritone horn . Angie Morgan, a soprano, sang A Time For Us and Mike Allgier sang Take Me Home Country Roads as a baritone. Mary Johnson, Alyce Eckert, and Wendy Andersen accompanied the High School chorus on the piano while Gwen Neiffer and Peggy Bradly played for the Jr. High chorus. This year, students from band went to a regional contest. A clarinet quartet, featuring Mary Johnson, Wendy Andersen, Peggy Bradley, and Brad Spear received an excellent rating. Shaun McVey, playing Rose- buds and Bob lsaman, playing My Regards both received superior ratings. Mark Burnham playing a tympani solo and Wendy Andersen playing a clarinet solo both received good ratings. Wendy Andersen playing a piano solo received an excellent rating. Reflections 1975 The 1975 Sweetheart's Ball, put on annually by the Sophomore class, went to the theme of Reflections, Slate Creek, a 3-piece band, supplied music for the evening . Sophomores Donna Pendleton and Senior Fabian Carrasco reigned as Sweethearts of the school. Over 100 people attended the dance from 8:00 to 12:00. Carl Clements boogies down. H.C.H.S. Presents: Down to Earth HCjH5 presented the comedy Down to Earth on May 1 an . The play, which was well attended, was the story of three angels who came down to earth to collect some mortals. Pilone, a one-winged angel played by Mike Allgier, managed to cause love between some very unlikely people. The fine acting which had the audience laughing throughout the evening brought The Best Actor of the Year Award to Mike Allgier and tied the Best Actress Award for Kim Henderson, the maid and Lori Arnold, Augusta Applegate. l '.
