This year's Homecoming was to the theme of the 5O's. For 2 days, greasers were all over the halls . Thursday afternoon was Boogie Day. Each class competed in games such as sack races, 3- legged races and many more . Dave IVlaudlin was chosen Greaser King and Chris Gerken as Queen, as they dressed most like the 5O's. Thursday night was coronation. Pattye Reed and Randy Goodsell reigned as Queen and King . A Smokey Bear Award was given to the Sophomore class for showing the most spirit during the week. The burning of the T and the snake dance ended the day . Friday, the Rangers and the Pine Ridge Thorpes clashed. The Rangers won 24-14 . As we were falling behind, S... The lVliss Sweet Thing contest, put on by the Student Senate, was held in the new gym. The winner was chosen by a count of money where a penny was one vote. Senior, Allen Fifi Gorman, escorted by Dennis Van Horn, won by a landslide. The other contestants were: Junior--Jeff Larson, Dean Wilson escort, Sophomore-- Doug lVladill escorted by Ricky lVletz, Freshman--Ed lVladill, Brad Wickware, escort, 8th grade--Scott Fisher, escort Kendall Yargus, 7th grade-- lVlike lVlatush escorted by Sam Wickware. -'C from Rapid City, play against anyone KKLS Jocks Vg, Nlark lVlattson jumped in to give a hand, but to no avail.
