Football l-4 Intramural 1 Track 4 Junior Play Senior Play Letterman i-4 Hilltopper Staff Annual Staff HISTORY In thefall of '49 two red faced little kids started to school in the first grade, they were Linda Belmont and Tim Gregson. In the second grade there were no admittances that still remain. In the third grade they were joined by,two more, Judy Hagerty and John Nash. They passed the third grade with flying colors and advanced into the fourth where they werejoined by Joe McDonald. Of the fifth, sixth, and seventh grade join- ers there are none remaining. In our eighth grade in school we werejoin- ed by Doneene McDonald, Judy Holden, and John Miller. In our Fresh- man year in high school we were joined by Virginia Mohler and Dennis Olson. During our Junior year George Weiderhold made our acquaintan- ces and in this our last year we have been joined by Charles Edwards. We the SENIOR class of '61 being of sound minds and bodies do here- by leave this as our last will and Testament: The class of '61 will to the Juniors our ability to make floats. The class of '61 will to the Sophomores our ability to plan a prom. The class of '61 will to the Freshmen our ability to graduate. I George Weiderhold, will my height to Joe Caswell for basketball. I Tim Gregson, will my car to anyone who can keep it on the road. I, John Nash, will my electric shaver to Kenny Gardner. I John Miller, will my parties to anyone who can afford them. Joe McDonald, will my soft voice to Kenny Gardner. Charles Edwards, will my days at H. C. S. to the first graders. Judy Haggerty, will my little green station wagon to the future junk dealers Judy Holden, will my bed ridden days to the teachers. Doneene McDonald, will my long hair to Carolyn W. Virginia Mohler, will my ability to get along with Mr. Daum to Judy Meyers. Linda Belmont, will my giggle to anyone feeling sad. Dennis Olson, will my quiet ways to Ronnie Anderson. 12 PROPHECY I AM HERE FOR THE PURPOSE OF TELLING YOU A STORY. It is now 1971 and the graduates of 1961 are gathering together at the Rolland Coats residence. He is still teaching at Hill City and has been joined in the teaching pro- fession by his wife. It is now six o'clock and the class is beginning to assemble. Now arriving are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wilcox and their two little boys. She is the former Virginia Mohler, now happily married and raising her family. Well guess who is here now! Dr. Weiderhold. He is still single and teaching geo- logy at the School of Mines. And now here is Judy Gregson and Linda Reinke the two beauticians. When asked where their husbands were they replied, home babysitting. As I now look out the window I notice a Cadillac and Lincoln pulling into the drive- way, and out of them stepped no less than John Miller and Tim Gregson. What hap- pen to the hot rods boys ? Coming across the room to me now is Judy Odden. I hear she is keeping books for an insurance company run by her husband T. J. Odden and their son. Now coming up the walk is a teacher, another look tells us it is the girl who we know as Doneene McDonald. Of course it is possible she has changed her name since we last saw her. Another look around the room tells me that Joe McDonald and Charlie Edwards have arrived. I have heard they are working in town and still chasing the girls. Dennis Olson is here looking quite prosperous. It seems he followed his brother's footsteps in the mining business, but he is now his brother's boss. Now the party is complete, OOPS'. Here comes John Nash, he looks as carefree as ever. It is now after midnight, and the party must be broken up to provide time for the long trips home. It has been fun renewing old acquaintances and we hope to see you all again in ten years at the same place. 1 2 . fi, Q, f any off. 5351122232 l f 1 3 . , In ir ' sw --ff 'i: ?H' . ii', 'Qi 3211 .,, - 'Jhflg I . lf. 5 3.
