To make matters worse the doctor arrives to lool afer a headache of Mrs. Allisons and Nr. Allison thinks he is the piano tuner. He instructs the doctor to nreally bang her upn. His dominecrlng sis- ter-in-law hears this and thinks he is speaking of his wife. It is a delightful play and one that was well given. GRADE SCHOOL OPRETTA On April l7th, the grade school gave a charming opretta, Tom Sawyer, under the supervision of Mrs. allen. A great number of the grade school were in the cast. In the acts were the dance of tie srnflowers, a scene in a cave and the dance of the skeletons . The opretta was enjoyed by all who saw it. THE STORY--with the Senior Lance only eleven days away, Jane and Sally still have no dates--George and Jim haven't said a word. But ther worries are only beginning, for Sally's house guest, Marci jettemn tactics. lhat is, shot-put, but who lsn't as cements, for Cindy arrives reuuy to solve any problem the time ieorge and Marcia istically on the sofa, rig 8 , snares one man right after another with the old ngo- everyone except Elroy, who is constantly practicing the dumb as he seems. lhen the home-front girls get reinfor- -Concertina, bag, and self. Cindy is a movie fan and on the basis of low linger Rogers landed Fred Astaire. By get tack from the show, Cindy has Jane stretched out art- god out in Ler mother's loveliest negligee, powdered dead wfite, and a,parently close to ceathl George is scared--till Marcia suggests that Jane has mumps! George beats it! But Cindy is not through fixing things. Her next venture collides with the alleged case of mumps. Then Elroy puts the shot into the prize peony bed, and what started as a mild worry about who dates whom to the Senior Dance, becomes a war of Dads and peonies, shot-puts, mumps movies, and that kind of heart-warming, lavqhter-crammed evening that gives such complete satisfaction to the cast and audience. 21+

A. A. purchased very attrac- if if' ,.,' '- - ' KWW tive gym suits in blue, the sc1.ool color, and made their review in them at the pro- gram. On May 9th., the girls climbed in various cars loadedxiown with a picnic lunch, swim suits, and caps, and started out for Spearfish, where they attended the annual 'Play Day' sponsered by the Womans Athletic Association of the Dlack Hills Teachers College. Here the girls took part in various sports and swimming. his was the second year of re-organization and a constitution was drown up to regulate a point system used in the earning of letters and trophies. The name of Rangerettes was adopted b, the girls. Phyllis Gould presided as president, with Billie Brown as secretary-treasurer and point secretary. The G. A. A.,just as any athletic organization, encourages sportsmanship. The organization ropes more girls will join next year. 25 4
