The 1985-86 Annual Staff is proud to send you on a trip through “A Time of Change.” The staff, made up of ten people, worked very hard planning pages, developing pictures, writing stor- ies, and selling ads. The staff traveled to Kearney two times, once to attend a workshop put on by our publisher, Walsworth, and the other to sell ads. The staff and the sponsors, Mrs. Fisher and Mr. Mietzner, hope you enjoy reliving the memories we have put together for A Time of Change. 4 5

Students enjoyed classes in art, shop, and photography during the 1985-86 year. Some of the art projects undertaken by the students this year were silk screening T-shirts and sweatshirts, working with clay, designing posters, and cutting and printing linoleum blocks. Theory and history of art was also studied. In shop classes students repaired many items around the school as well as made many beautiful and useful wood projects, and learned to weld correctly. Students learned how to cut, sand, stain and varnish different kinds of woods and many set out on new adventures of construction. Photography class was a new offering this year for Hildreth High School students. The students and Mr. Mietzner, their sponsor, was aided by the expertise of a member of the community during the first semester, Mr. Riley Waugh, who previously had been a professional photographer. Students learned the basics of good picture taking, film developing, and picture developing. The photography class, Regina Bunger, Shelly Hogeland, and Kandy Hunt, pose for the camera. 5
