® ® ® 1EIH9 Y My school year’s kaleidoscope reveals the smiles, the tears, the memories Time spinning so quickly glimpses of challenges, victories and cheers. Today we pause to recollect one special time and man Whose remembrance is permanently impressed upon my memory. One August morn, not so long ago, I stood wide eyed, waiting Mother at my side, smiling reassuringly. Yet I was timid and afraid . . . For at the end of the driveway was a monsterous yellow bus waiting to swallow me. Terrified, I entered - to travel to my first day of school But what could have been a frightful time became a joy • a thrill. For my bus driver calmed my frantic fear he smiled and welcomed me. Now I reminisce about that day and others . . . trips to town and journeys away

The 1985-86 Annual Staff is proud to send you on a trip through “A Time of Change.” The staff, made up of ten people, worked very hard planning pages, developing pictures, writing stor- ies, and selling ads. The staff traveled to Kearney two times, once to attend a workshop put on by our publisher, Walsworth, and the other to sell ads. The staff and the sponsors, Mrs. Fisher and Mr. Mietzner, hope you enjoy reliving the memories we have put together for A Time of Change. 4 5
