HILDRETH SENIOR CLASS PRESENTS THE GREYHOUND 1977 • ANNUAL STAFF If Life could be reflected at random As easily as water reflects sunlight Memories would be . . . insignificant But each moment holds A new experience So unique . . . Never to be Exactly duplicated. It all happens So quickly . . . So perfectly Only to fade . . . As a memory Into the comers of your mind. You say . . . you will never forget But time will blur the lines a little fainter each year Our attempt is to draw this former time With a new crayon Fresh . . . Alive . . . and Distinct. 2 SPONSORED BY SCHWARTZ BROS. IMPLEMENT CO., INC. SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY 1987 The year Is 1987, and the class of 1977 Is meeting in Lincoln at the Holiday Inn on Cornhusker Highway after a state tournament game. First to arrive is Don Fritson. He and his red-haired wife live happily in Macon, where they run the tavern. And we can't forget his little-boy-junior as he comes through the door. Next to arrive is Pam Loschen. She is still single; she works as a private secretary for Richard Nixon at a California Carehome. He keeps her so busy that she has found no time for marriage. We hear a chain of cuss words as Mike Bunger enters the room. Someone has just wrecked his 1987 442. He is not married, but when he opens his trunk two blonde-headed girls pop out. Now Nancy Hemje arrives in a black Cadillac. She, too, has found no time for marriage. She teaches mathematics in the winter and in the summer she is a lifeguard at the Hemje Swimming Pool. After the deafening roar dies down, Mike Kiker walks through the door. He, and his browned-haired wife, and their three sons live on a fruit farm near Axtell. Dan Garrelts and his wife, the former Roxanne Greening, are next to drift in. Dan keeps busy with raising the crops. Roxanne keeps busy raising their 6 little girls and a puppy. (It started out as 1 little boy and a puppy.) After Bonnie Hinrichs comes in the door, we find out that she and Benny live in a pink house in Franklin. Bonnie quit her job, as their three children keep her busy. Reuben Kersenbrock arrives with 12 cases. In keeping with tradition, we thought it only right for Reuben to furnish the refreshments. He spends his time as the supervisor of the Lazy K Popcorn Factory . After the 18 wheeler has come to a halt, Tami Bienhoff, jumps out of the cab. Twin boys are next to follow. Tami teaches Pre-School at Funk, NE. Now Mark Bertrand rambles through the door. He travels around the United States in his Winnebago thinking of ways to spend his millions of dollars. Sheila Johnson and her toothless husband are next to arrive. They live in Los Angelos where Sheila is a Dental Assistant. Millions of toothless people will never forget her. After Susan Bunger comes in, we find she still works at Pioneer Village. She plans to move to Smith Center soon because her car is getting too many miles on it. Linda Osterbuhr arrives on a motorcycle. She works as a Kawasaki poster girl advertising let the good times roll! Next on the scene is Evonne Adam. She is still single and living in Kearney. She is an Accountant and works for Backlot. Sometimes they equal, sometimes they don't. Steve Casper crusies up in a 1987 Monte Carlo. He has just gotten out of the slammer. Being President of the Chi- cago Bank tends to make the fingers sticky. As usual Jeff Loschen and his wife the former Teresa Adam, arrive last. Jeff keeps busy with the farming and cook- ing while Teresa is a legal secretary for the maphia. After a great time and much catching up, everyone agrees that, even though alot has changed in 10 years, the spirit of 77 is still alive and doing well. 10 Written by Steve, Evonne and Teresa 12 SPONSORED BY THE STATE BANK OF HILDRETH HILDRETH. She did a very good job and represented Hildreth very well. She ran her best time ever in the hurdles with a time of 11.7. However she ran into some very stiff competition and did not make it into the finals. The Hildreth girl's team had a very good season as a whole with many girl's placing in the track meets. They went to Bertrand, Oxford, FKC and the District Track meet. Cheryl Bunger, Colleen Fritz, and the two relay teams all placed in the meets. They went to all very large meets making it harder to place in them. 44 SPONSORED BY SPORT SPOT 716 4TH AVENUE HOLDREGE NE 68949 TELEPHONE 995-6464 LOU RUMMEL THE SPOT FOR SPORTS DON SHIELD BOY’S TRACK BACK ROW: Brian Rahmann, Mark Bertrand, Crale Bauer, Mike Kiker, Kelly Loschen, Coach Wickham FRONT ROW: Jeff Welch, Todd Jelden, Alan Bunger, Bob Greening, and Dale Schmidt.
