President Marilyn Lieske Vice President Wayne Casper Secretary Almeta Fritson Treasurer Ronnie Nordbrock Class Reporter Kathleen Glenn CLASS OFFICERS CLASS HISTORY In September 1945, Hildreth Public Schools enrolled a new group of youngsters. These included William Silas, Ronald Nordbrock, Wayne Casper, Luyre Fruhling, Ivan Lindau, Susan Dennis, Marjorie Rahmann, Kathleen Glenn, Minnie Hansen, Patricia Wright, and Gene Osterbuhr. In October Ivan left but Wendell Casper joined the children. In December, Patricia left our class. During our second year William dropped out. During these first two years. Miss Leona Glenn had the privilege of being our teacher. At the start of the third year Susan left us. While William retained his position in our class again. During the fourth year. William left us again and Herbert Hoerman joined the group with LeRoy Frerichs coming along about three weeks later. During our third and fourth terms, we were under the guidance of Miss Joy Hendrickson. In our fifth year (the same year Mr. Marvin Shreve came to teach us) Robert Westerbuhr and LaDonna Frerichs joined our group. In the sixth year Miss Verna Vannier came to guide our class; Tommy Williams came to enlarge the enrollment; but, left during the same year. Through the seventh grade under Mr. Howard Glenn, our class remained the same. Mr. Glenn stayed with us through the eighth grade when Aldean Casper and Donna Lee Knaus joined the throng. In 1953 we entered Hildreth School and were known as the Green Freshmen. ” Naomi Johnson, June John- son, Alden Johnson, Almeta Fritson, Marilyn Lieske, and Roger Loschen were given the privilege of receiving this title along with the rest of us. We now had the equivalent of ten girls and nine boys. Mr. Glenn must have enjoyed our class because he followed us into High School. Along with him we were taught by Mr. Robert Lewis, Mr. George Crist, Miss Verna Freeman, Mrs. Tom Lynch, and Mr. Donald Zimmerman. In our sophomore year our classmates remained the same but Miss Freeman and Mr. Zimmerman left us and Mr. Verle Straatmann joined the faculty to teach us. Our junior year found Mr. Crist giving up his teaching position in Hildreth to Mr. Herman Yost. LaDonna left her classmates in November of her Junior year. On starting our senior year we found four changes. Mr. Yost left but Mrs. Melvin Hemje and Mr. A. L. Exstrom joined the faculty to help us. Later Lyle McMindes took Mrs. Hemje's place. NeliusSeybold joined our class to help the boys outnumber the girls, ten-to-nine. On May 23, 1957, we had completed our education at Hildreth Public School. Onthatday nineteenhigh school graduates received their diplomas. After that never-to-be-forgotten day we all hope for success and high position in this wide world.
