She received a telegram from her husband, who was clear up in Alaska prospecting, saying he couldn’t make it. Paul Harms and his fiancee arrived in his 1965 turbo-powered, black and pink Cadillac convertible. He informed us that he is the manager of the Kingsley Lumber Company and is really rolling in the dough! Marva Ann Fritson has done very well over the past ten years as she is editor of a thriving magazine, “Glamor , wife of a successful young business executive and the mother of four adorable children. Dick Fuerst has turned his dairy farm into a milk plant and has created a new and better milk which has the name, “Sunbeam. We want to thank Dick for the milk and crearo he supplied for the banquet.. We certainly have to admit it’s really different! Carol Jean Hansen, after leaving us in 1955 went to Tulsa, Oklahoma and worked as a receptionist until she met her Romeo who has five oil wells. Naturally they are doing quite well for themselves. Rodney Hinriches, after finishing seminary came back to his old home town where he is giving the congregation of St. Paul some really inspirational sermons. We all enjoyed meeting his wife and children. Merlyn Rahmann went to K. S. T. C. for two years, took up teaching kindergarten for five years but has now gone to the Children’s Orthopedic Hospital in Lincoln where she is helping make life for the children there much brighter. 20

Class Prophecy What: A reunion of the graduates of '55 Who: The graduates, their husbands, wives, and children When; May 19, 1965 at 10 A.M. Where: New gymnasium of Hildreth High School We were all happy to receive the invitation to the class reunion as we had missed our classmates and the happy carefree time we had in high school. As we compared experiences over the years passed we found that we had been blessed with fortune and success. The re- union started off with a bang, everyone boasting of their accomplishments. Ron Kruse and his cute little wife we all remember from high school arrived first with their two sets of twins, all with red hair. Ron is now employed at KHOL-TV station where he has his own comedian show, “Uncle Red.” Leola Frerichs who appeared on last weeks Look cover arrived in the latest fashions from gay paree. She has a long list of admirers but as yet she hasn’t made her choice. Gordon Loschen who got his B. A. Degree in Education from K.S. T. C. is now coach- ing on the West Coast in a small school near Hollywood. His stories informed us that his main interest was coaching] ] ] Janet Johnson arrived next with her three children and she informed us that she had been employed by the Public Consumer Company in Kearney as a secretarial typist and after being there a few months had married her handsome boss. She was certainly sorry that he couldn’t come with her but was too busy counting his millions. Jerry Johnson after finishing his four-year hitch in the navy is now busy with three occupations---Keeping Marsha happy, running his own little gas station and raising two little sailors for Uncle Sam. Gene Frerichs arrived with his wife and experimental corn samples that he had cross- ed and naturally everyone knew before they went home just how he had done it. He informed us that his five children would be along later. Don Kruse who took four years of college to learn better coaching techniques now manages thefamous girls’ basketball team, The Redheads. Of course he sticks to strict- ly coaching] ] ] ] Denny Reil is now a lumberman, he flew down from Oregon, having a hard time break- ing away from his job as manager of a large lumber company. He is doing a very good job supporting his wife Ardie and his three sons; Hewey, Dewey, and Lewey. Don Wilken who has now completed his seven years training to become a minister is practicing in a little community in the eastern part of Nebraska to gain experience for his seven years that he will spend as a missionary in South Africa. He has a wife and two children to accompany and help him. Donna Mae Schmidt who was head of the “Lonely Hearts Club” for six years has some important information for lonely old maids and bachelors. As we could all see by the looks of her husband it “pays to advertise.” Helen Adam arrived just hopping mad. The democrats had got things all messed up in Washington and as she was a Congresswoman she felt it her duty to straighten things out. 19
