hawks show that victories varsity team, kneeling: jeff stutlman, todd miller, jim ling, donovan hochstseler, gary schrock, manager steve meinke, standing manager brent miller, tom yoder, tim brown, brian beechy, jim schlabach, coach mullet victory comes in many forms. some prefer to judge a victory by what is won - a game, a tournament, a trophy. yet victory can be measured in other ways - the effort that goes above and beyond what is required, consistant improvement, the inner strength that will never quit even when the game gets tough. the hiland hawks, under the experienced guidance of art mullet, have been victorious. although only compiling a 8-13 record this past season, their victory came through the matura- tion of a very young team with seven returning players. tom yoder won the scholarship award, todd miller was awarded the most improved, and jim schlabach won the best free throw percentage. winning the award for the most assists and the best defensive was jeff stutzman, as donovan hoch- stetler was awarded best field goal percentage, best rebounder, best offensive, and mr. basketball. when all is done and the glory is over, we will come out victorious knowing we did our best. 38 xdtl
