I 1 What. . .no popcorn! Senior Memories THE PAST FOREVER GONEQ THE FUTURE STILL OUR OWN The time has come to bid Farewell, To the halls of Hiland High. We've reached the goal we strived for, And now must say, Good-by, The past four years seemed rather short, Although we were often distressed, But, one by one, our problems were solved, And we patiently onward pressed. We're glad to leave the dusty books Full of the things that we had to learn: Yet, our hearts give atwinge when we realize that When we go, we will never return. To some, no doubt, it will be joyg But others will be sad-- We'1l always remember our high school days, And all the good times we had. We leave the halls of Hiland, But ever as we part: We face the life which we must live And get a brand new start. Out of this life, into a new We seniors now will pass: We certainly wish the best of luck To every future class. We now extend our sincere thanks To our parents and teachers, who Showed understanding, endurance, and loveg And urged us on when we were blue. So we'll remember our motto, And step out into life with this thought: THE PAST FOREVER GONE: THE FUTURE STILL OUR OWN. --Mary Troyer ...W ,f Well ofallthe
