Senior Class Play Ann Andrews, a young girl, is sought in marriage by two suitors, Blair Bums and Ware Waring. Ware is an old friend of her families, while Blair is a com- parative stranger. She decides on Blair who gives her an odd engagement ring. That ring, or one resembling it, had been taken from the hand of her mother after she had been cruelly murdered 10 years ago. A recent crime of the aame nature has the police puzzled about both. Ann shows the ring to her Aunt Alice who at once devices a clever ruse to unravel the nystery and succeeds in finding Ware guilty. Blair and Ann make plans to marry. The young heroine. Sis Tuttle, has always gone steady with Jupe Bensen until wealthy, young David Durant comes to the Ozarks seeking to regain his health. Sls s personality draws much of David s attention and Jupe warns him Sis is his girl. David thinks of Sis as a sister until she disappears and the worry begins. Aunt Pliney keeps peace until Sis is found. Everyone ends up happy; Sis marrying David, Jupe marrying Hannah, and Pliney marrying Caleb. The scene is a rummage sale where you find Emma, who Is devoted to social work, opening the shop for the day. During the course of the day mary people stop. Those who buy goods are of the poorer sect and of many different nationalities. All who unload their problems on Emma. Things run smoothly until Emma starts selling clothes right off the back of Peter, who is trying to propose to her. All ends well with Emma in Peter's arms.
