Mr. Alan Lund directed the Concert Choir, a group of more than 50 members, and the 30 voice New Madrigal Singers. Assisting Mr. Lund during the first semester was stu- dent teacher Mr. Gordon Gray. Mr. Lund also taught music at Glacier High School during the second half of the day. Mr. James Blake directed the Concert Band, the Sym- phonic Band, and the Jazz Ensemble, which featured 25 talented musicians. Past and present compared for students History never changes although it is constantly in the making. This year's history curriculum involved basic history classes including Culture and Civilization, Great Historical Influences, and United States History. For students who expressed a further interest about our world, the courses American Political Thought, 20th Century European History, and sociology were offered. By comparing past with present events, students were shown how history applies to their lives. Through an understanding of the past, students can better ap- preciate the present and get a firm grip on the future. Included in our excellent staff of history teachers were Mr. Charles Czubin, Mr. Mick Michalson, Ms. Mary Lou Muir, Mr. Bill Trowbridge, and Mr. Kenneth Van Diest. Due to the levy failure, teachers from other de- partments-Mr. Jim Blake, Miss Ann Brown, and Mr. Gordon Rodland-also taught history classes. TOP LEFT: Mr. Trowbridge, Nick Castrow.
