FRANCES HIGHT--Girl Reserves: High Lines. Stylish in attire and of caustic wit, from Carmen lip to dazzling fingertip she fairly scintillated. Don't be duped by his smooth simplicity, for beneath his naive exterior lurked the fiendish soul of a musician-a music maestro, sultan of swing, and impressario cle luxe. This iovial ski enthusiast was always good for a laugh, even when the ioke was on himself-and it usually was: paradoxically, he was wil ing to undertake even the most difficult task. Her efficiency at secretarial duties smacked ofthe New World, but the gardenia she wore in her hair reminded one of the beauty and refinement of the Old World of which she was a part. With complete nonchalance Lynn accepted the verdict of the grade book and con- tinued reading the funnies and the classics with equal enioyment, ALBERT lSBlfLL-Baslsetball: Football: Softball: Tracie: Vaudeville. 'Round and 'round he goes and where hc stops, nobody knows, for Al was a spinning top on skates, who provided spectators with many thrills, and who won the admiration of his skating companions. At first one saw the quiet, studious manner she wore in her classroom, but there was nothing about her twinkling eyes and infectious humor that suggested the introvert. ELVA JANNSEN-Camera Club. Diligent and persevcring in whatever she unclfyrlook, Elvu's main intcrcsls centered in the field of home economics. Grimlv determined on the cinder track and the epitome of dependability in the classroom, Charles shed his cloak of reticence only in the presence of a few close associates. ALBERT KARLSON Known to his many loyal friends as Jeep, Al was a true sportsmen, and the one known senior who, during a recitation, could with charm admit that he did not know, 22

Cheerful, capable, and always willing to help, she became a pal to all her class- mates and an invaluable aid to Mr. Daverin on banking day. HAZEL FIDLIER-Home Economics Club. A lady of few words, whose silence was more expressive than speech, and whose skills were in the culinary department, EVELYN FORBES-French Club: Honor Roll: O. G. A. Tiny's titian locks and demure charm gained her admission to numerous hearts, for no one could doubt-or deny-the sincerity of her friendship. A likeable girl with an intriguing manner, lris sought relaxation in skating and driving. RALPH LARSON-Entered from Sultan High School, Washington. Model Airplane Club. He was so quiet that it was almost a shock to discover that the ranked high among the intelligencia in reading ability and in powers of observation. JAMES LATIMER-Football: Track. i Aftectionately known as Squat, this fun-loving, overgrown boy submitted -uncom- plainingly to the routine ot school: but everyone knew his heart was following the trail to the hinterland. 23
